I DON’T GET IT NO. 3: DISTANCE AND BREAKS

So, you’ve used the visual cues in the card’s image and different correspondences from your repertoire. If nothing makes any sense then it might be best to…

HOT TIP: TAKE A BREAK FROM THE READING AND MOVE AWAY

We’ve all had those encounters where we walked out of a stressful or overwhelming situation so that we could think clearly. That could be applied to our tarot/spiritual practices too.

Distancing ourselves when we’re blocked can help clear our minds of any unnecessary clutter. In turn, it will help you recalibrate your thoughts so when you come back to the reading you might see the cards with a fresh perspective and it could bring forth potent messages and insights.

Friendly suggestions when you decide to do this:

⁉️ Take a photo of the cards/spread so you can refer to it at a later date.

⁉️ Bring a notebook or have your phone’s note-taking app ready when insightful downloads come your way.

⁉️ Don’t be too hard on yourself.

There are times when readings just don’t make any sense and that’s okay. Everything doesn’t have to be crystal clear after a tarot reading, in fact, it sometimes leads to more questions. That doesn’t mean you’re a horrible reader or an inadequate interpreter. There are certain things we can’t control/know. In moments wherein the tarot seems to be vague, treat it as a learning opportunity not to be attached to an outcome or expectation.

Life is supposed to be a mystery anyway.
